All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Memorial Park Cemetery--Texas OK Cordie Farris Jones Cordie Farris Jones, 81, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Second Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones of the church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and moved from Dumas to Amarillo, where she lived for 39 years. She was a teacher's aid in the Amarillo Independent School District. Since 1960, she was a member of Second Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 30 years. She married James Jones in 1941 at Oklahoma City. He died in 1992. Survivors include a son, Dan Jones of Dripping Springs; three daughters, Dora Miller and Bonnie Grant, both of Amarillo and Jimmie Nelson of Concordia, Mo.; a brother, Earl Farris of Wheeler; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Second Baptist Church, T.V. Ministry; or Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
