All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Johnson, Robert Harold Robert Harold Johnson was born on Veteran's Day, November 11, 1922 in Adona, Arkansas and passed away November 26, 2002 in his home at the age of 80 years. Robert was the sixth of nine children of Robert E. and Arlene Johnson. He enlisted in the Army and proudly served in the military for twenty years. During that time, he received many commendations as well as being decorated for injuries sustained in the Battle of the Bulge. He was also in civil service for 13 years and retired in 1974. Robert married Norareen Mitchell on March 9, 1946 and was married for 56 years. He was a member of Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church for several years prior to his death. He is survived by his wife, Norareen, of the home; two sisters, Lee Ella Hisaw of Midwest City and Betty Sanders of Del City; one brother, Gurdon Johnson of Wewoka; two daughters, Patricia Lynn Turner of Jenks and Shelly Stringfellow of Moore and two sons, Danny Johnson of Newalla, Terry Johnson of Oklahoma City as well as two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family wants to express special appreciation to Robert's oncologist, B. AI-Assaad, M.D., the nursing staff at Integris and his hospice nurse, Debbie Boatman, R.N. for their compassion and care during his illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 29 at Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in Moore with interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. Services under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S. Broadway, Moore.
