All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Becker Funeral Home, Inc. - Lawton OK :Fort Sill National Cemetery--Elgin OK Neoma "Nikki" Jordan Age 55, Oklahoma City, Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terry Jordan, Church of the Nazarene, Corvallis, Oregon, officiating. Mrs. Jordan died Friday, November 12, 2004 at her home. Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. She was born on October 11, 1949 in Carnegie to Kenneth and Nancy (Foust) Halsted. She graduated in 1967 from Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City. She married Robert Duane Pritchard on September 9, 1965. They were married for 19 years. She often helped out at the TH Rogers Lumber Yards that Robert managed across southwest Oklahoma. She worked in nursing homes in Hobart and Sentinel, the hospital in Waurika, a Head Start daycare in Temple and the Haggar plant in Duncan. In 1974, she obtained her EMT license. She worked as a volunteer EMT in Temple, taking the ambulance home at night. She became a full time EMT in Duncan. She responded to every imaginable call during the oil boom times in Stephens County. In 1984, she moved to Altus, where she worked as an EMT, and later as the administrator of the Jackson County EMS. She worked as an Office Deputy for Sheriff Joe Boaldin for a short time at the Jackson County Jail. In 1988, she became a Department of the Army civilian employee, working as an EMT at Reynolds Army Community Hospital at Fort Sill. She married a military policeman, Jeff Jordan, on March 16, 1990 in Irving, Texas. Nikki's EMT career ended in 1991 due to an injury suffered while transporting a patient. She went with Jeff on assignments to Germany and Fort Lewis, Washington. In 1996, Nikki and Jeff left active duty Army life and returned to Oklahoma. In 1997, she set up her home in Altus, as this was Jeff's first assignment with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. In 2000, they moved to Oklahoma City. Nikki was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, an avid bingo player and a big time OU fan. She was an accomplished seamstress, baker and cook. The list of soldiers and medics she adopted, fed and looked out for is endless. Survivors include her husband of the home; her daughter, Shellie Pritchard of the home; her son and daughter-in-law, Duane Pritchard and Patricia of Bristow; two brothers, Larry Halsted of Oklahoma City and Lyndell Halsted of Altus; three sisters, Lana Robertson, Donna Banks and Teresa Murphy, all of Altus; her mother and stepfather, Nancy Martin and George of Altus; a granddaughter, Ashley; three grandsons, Tim, Carl and Jake; a 105 year old grandmother, and countless other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her father preceded her in death.
