He was born September 19, 1911. In 1930, he graduated from Vallejo High School in Vallejo, CA., and also graduated from Capitol Radio Engineering Institute in Washington, D.C. He traveled extensively with Alaskan Tours in the Coast Guard and Middle Eastern Assignments with Transworld Air Lines and vacation travels to Europe and Mexico. He worked for the F.A.A. in Oklahoma City and Washington D. C. , retiring in 1971. He became a skilled craftsman in the ancient art of marquetry (wood inlayed pictures). He was a resident of OKC for 34 years and a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Iva Jacobsen of the home; son , Roger Jacobsen ; daughter, Shirley Mahoney all of OKC; and daughter, Carol Schieber of Dallas, TX; 5 grandchildren, 4 nieces, and his brother-in-law, Paul Harding of Vallejo, CA. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 7, at !
