All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Kitchens, Ada Marie Anderson ADA MARIE ANDERSON KITCHENS, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was born August 20, 1914, at Kingston, Oklahoma, to James Porter and Nora Sylvestia Adkins Anderson. She departed this life, September 18, 2002, at Oklahoma City. She was married to Charles H. McMillan and Roy E. Barton, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Stanley R. Kitchens on December 13, 1997, at Oklahoma City. Survivors include her husband, Stanley, of the home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold J. and Dottie Anderson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and James Porter, Jr., and Janie Anderson, of Choctaw, Oklahoma; two step-sons, Terry Kitchens, of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Tom Kitchens, of Moore, Oklahoma; a step-daughter, Suzanne Kitchens, of Oklahoma City; three nieces, Kay Jenks of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Karen Fletcher of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Sheryl Shanahan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two nephews, Jack Anderson of Tecumseh and Wesley Anderson of Midwest City, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Kitchens graduated from high school at Wilson, Oklahoma, and moved to Oklahoma City in 1935, where she has made her home since that time. She attended Oklahoma University and Oklahoma City University. She was a member of the Staff of the House of Representatives of the Oklahoma Legislature for several years. She was an active member of Crown Heights United Methodist Church, where she had served as a member of the Administrative Board, Choir, and Guild. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Sat., Sept. 21, 2002, at Crown Heights United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Baggerley Memorial Chapel, 13313 N. Kelly Avenue, will be in charge of arrangements. If desired, memorials may be made to Crown Heights United Methodist Church. Baggerley Memorial Chapel 13313 N.
