Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Carathers and Monsignor Francis Smyer officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Koehler was born in Rhineland on April 11, 1907. She married Hubert Koehler in Scotland, Texas, on Aug. 26, 1929. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 21, 1983; and a daughter, Joyce Cross, on May 14, 2002. Survivors include four daughters, Gaynell Monroe of Amarillo, Carol Freeman of Dalhart, Dottie Bradshaw of Oklahoma City and Lynn Rutledge of Aurora, Colo.; a son, Don Koehler of Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters, Lucy Frerich of Brackettville, Vera Nichols of Bandera and Jane Bratcher of Sun City West, Ariz.; two brothers, Ray Peysen of Windthorst and Clyde Peysen of Scotland; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund, 1200 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79102; Bivins Memorial Nursing Home, 1001 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106; or Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
