Jack D. Keller, 80, died Friday, August 26, 2005 in Oklahoma City. He was born July 15, 1925 in Fort Smith, AR, to Dewey and Bessie (Davidson) Keller. He lived in the OKC area since 1963. During WWII Jack served 32 months in the 995 Field Artillery Unit in Africa, Italy, Austria, France, and Germany. After the war he married Dorothy Tracy in Fort Worth, TX, on March 30, 1946. He worked for SW Bell Telephone Company from 1948-1987. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Toastmasters. Jack served as a deacon, elder, chairman of the board, elder emeritis, and Sunday School teacher at the Midwest City First Christian Church. Favorite interests were his church, mobile meals and trout fishing. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Dewey and wife, Mae; mother Bessie Hester and husband Houston and a sister Lela Catherine Jordan. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy; two daughters, Mary Ann Keller of Midwest City and Marlene E. Keller-Grufman and husband, Tom, of Brandon, FL; grandchildren, Shelley Steele of Hilo, HI, Samuel Keller Steele of Moore, OK, and Megan, Margaux, and Morgan Grufman of Brandon, FL. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to the Midwest City First Christian Church or Telephone Pioneers Life Members. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at the Midwest City First Christian Church, 11950 E. Reno, with interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens.
