All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Daily Oklahoman 4 Aug 2002 Kinney, Kathleen Mary Kathleen Mary Kinney went to be with the Lord July 24, 2002 while snorkeling with Sea Turtles off the coast of Waianae Beach in Oahu. She did not want to leave the island and in a way she got her wish. Her body was kept alive for several more days so that her organs could be used to save 3 lives throughout the islands of Hawaii and help up to 65 others. Kathleen had learning disabilities, physical disabilities and spent much of her adult life battling mental illness. At an early age she accepted the free gift of salvation by welcoming Jesus Christ into her life as her Lord and Savior. This explains why she was able to handle all of these with dignity, grace and a strength that would humble the best of us! Doctors and family marveled at her ability to not become jaded or filled with hatred due to her circumstances. Kathleen's faith and strength in Jesus Christ not only gave her the grace to face the hard life that was before her but also helped to introduce all of her sisters to a saving faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Kathleen was able to do what few of us will ever experience... moving from an earthly paradise to an unimagenabily more beautiful heavenly paradise. We know we will see her again in heaven one day and this comforts us in our time of grief. Kathleen is preceded in Glory by both her parents, Paul Thomas Kinney, Jr and Fay Jean Kinney and all of her grandparents. She is survied by: Karen Ann and Lance Patrick Hatch of Cypress TX; Elizabeth Ellen and Kenneth Minor of Edmond, OK and Laura Jean Kinney of La Porte, TX. She is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews: Paul William Kinney Hatch (18), Jennifer Anne Minor (17), Christopher Thomas Minor (16), Caitlin Faith Hatch (14), Alexandra Hope Hatch (10) and many numerous family and friends. She loved and was loved by many! Please read Psalms 145 and be comforted. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 5th, 2002 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel with Interment at the Ressurrection Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, please make donations to the Jude Ranch Animal Sanctuary, 2726 Winston Rd., Okla. City, OK 73120. Matthews Funeral Home Locally Owned 601 S.
