Kimberlin was born October 6, 1924 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Lena and Otto Shupe. She passed from this life unexpectedly on September 13, 2002, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after a brief illness. Phyllis grew up in Pawnee, where she went to school with and later married Joe Kimberlin, the man who has been her loving and cherished husband for over 60 years. Phyllis and Joe moved to Oklahoma City in 1956 where they raised their two beautiful daughters. She was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Surviving family include her husband Joe, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Dick Manley, Denver, Colorado, daughter and son-in-law Cathy and David Turnipseed, Oklahoma City, the four most talented and wonderful grandchildren any doting grandmother could wish for, Stephanie Manley, Chris Manley and his wife Trisha, Denver, Colorado, Seth and Josh Turnipseed, Oklahoma City, and brothers Cecil Shupe and his wife Marjorie, Tulsa, and Robert Shupe and his wife Mary Ann, Sunnyvale, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Henry Pansza. Phyllis spent as much time as possible enjoying the beautiful view at their second home on Grand Lake, where she and Joe have so many dear friends. Phyllis was loved by all her family and many friends. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 16, 2002, at Hahn- Cook/Street & Draper, Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be held at the Pawnee Cemetery in Pawnee, Oklahoma at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity or organization of your choice. We love you, Mama.
