All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Durant Daily Democrat 21 Oct 2004 Rebecca Yuvonne (Von) Krutzler Rebecca Yuvonne Shields Krutzler, beloved daughter, wife, mother and sister, died in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Sunday, October 17, 2004, at the age of 51. Born on April 7, 1953, in Edmond, Oklahoma, Von called Durant home after spending a few early years in Lelia Lake, Texas. After graduation from Durant High School in 1971, she furthered her education by graduating from Oklahoma Christian College with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Von was a homemaker who spent her life thinking of and helping others, doing volunteer work and always going the extra mile. She was a substitute teacher, a Bible class instructor and an active member of the Mountain View Church of Christ in Colorado Springs. She is survived by her husband, Werner, her son Adam, both from Colorado Springs; her parents, James and Reba Shields, Durant; her mother-in-law, Margarethe Parker, Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Debbie Hubbard, Pottsboro, Texas; one brother, John Shields, Combine, Texas; three nephews; three nieces; three great-nephews; four great-nieces; and multitudes of loving family and friends glad to call her their own.
