Kelle, 59, of Yukon, died peacefully at home on March 6, 2003. He had been supported and encouraged in his battle with colon cancer by his family, friends, business associates and church family. Charles was born October 26, 1943, in Newkirk, OK, to Earl H.C. and Thelma Kelle. He attended Blackwell Public Schools, St. John's College, NOJC and OSU. He and Eileen Schroeder were married August 6, 1966. They were the proud parents of Gretchen Susanne in 1973 and Christopher Earl in 1976. Charles loved his family dearly and worked long hours to provide for them. He enjoyed attending his children's ballgames, dance recitals, Odyssey of the Mind competitions and other activities. Charles worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years, operating Employee Benefit Specialists, Inc in OKC. He was the winner of numerous awards and trips due to his sales ability and the able assistance of his office manager, Dianna Robertson. His survivors are wife, Eileen, daughter Gretchen of OKC, son Christopher of Tulsa and sister, Debbie Sibley of Yukon and many other relatives and friends across the United States. His sense of humor and strength will be a void in our lives. Charles' family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Keefer, his nurses Cheryl and Tami and Corrie Sargeant and Rose Garrett, his Frontier Hospice caregivers, for their excellent, loving care and support. Services will be Monday, March 10, at Crossings Community Church, 14600 N. Portland at 10:30 am. Memorials may be made to Crossings or the American Cancer Society. SMITH & KERNKE 14624 N.
