Lowe, 88, died Thursday, April 11, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Travis Baptist Church with Tom Anderson and Johnny Snider officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home. Mr. Lowe was born Dec. 13, 1912, in Rubottom, Okla., to the late George Lowe and Mae Langley Lowe. He moved to Memphis in 1960 from Childress and graduated from high school in Empire, Okla. He married Cosette Denney Lowe on July 11, 1943. He was a self-employed restaurant owner and a member and deacon of Travis Baptist Church. He was an Army sergeant veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of American Legion and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of Senior Citizens. He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 29, 1995. Survivors include a son, Jerry Lowe of Memphis; a daughter, Janice Bellah of Pampa; a brother, Aubrey Lowe of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Audry Burns of Weatherford, Okla., Beatrice Champion and Lucille Wivel, both of Corona, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Travis Baptist Church, 708 N. 13th St., Memphis, TX 79245; or Diabetes Association, 301 S. Polk St., Amarillo, Tx 79101.
