Ladd, Jane E.

Jane E. Ladd, longtime Oklahoma City resident, died August 22, 2002, in 
Ponca City, OK. Jane was the only child born to William and Georgia Lyons, 
November 5, 1915. She graduated from Classen High School and attended OCU. 
Jane was married to Grant Ladd, on January 24, 1936. She was a member of 
Crown Heights Christian Church for over sixty years before transferring 
her membership to Woodlands Christian Church in Ponca City. Jane was a 
professional book reviewer for many years in Oklahoma City. Preceded in 
death by her parents, her husband, and her oldest son, Bill. Jane is 
survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Peggy Ladd, and 
grandsons, Zachary and Matthew of Richardson, Texas; and her son and 
daughter-in law, Marty and Patty Ladd, and granddaughters, Elizabeth of 
Ponca City, and Olivia of Oakland, CA. Jane will be greatly missed by her 
family and friends who feel blessed that she graced their lives for so 
many years. A memorial service will be held on August 31, at 10:30 a.m., 
at Crown Heights Christian Church in Oklahoma City. The family asks that 
memorials be made to the public library in your community.
