All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Ledbetter, Herb We celebrate the life of Herb Ledbetter who had a glorious homecoming when he joined his Savior on January 24, 2003. Herb was born October 27, 1934 in Dawsonville, Georgia. He served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953 with numerous citations. He was employed by Alcoa where he retired in 1986. He moved to Oklahoma in May 1995. Herb took great pride in his home and loved working in the yard. He was a wonderful cook and delighted in sharing his 'special recipes' with friends. He especially enjoyed spending time visiting with his neighbors while sitting outside in the evenings. Herb was an honest and compassionate friend and neighbor, and will be remembered for his many acts of kindness and generosity. Herb is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Troy. He Is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 47 years, Merrie Ann; son Jeff and his wife Connie and three grandsons, of Vancouver, Washington; daughter Amy and her husband Jim Boyd, and granddaughters Jordan and Jaclyn of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister Linda Arnold (John) of Vancouver, Washington; his very special companion Agnes, the pug; and a host of friends and relatives. Many thanks to Pastor Dawn Gorges of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, special neighbors Darla and Mark Hall, and the doctors and nurses at Cancer Care Associates and Mercy Hospital for their care and compassion during Herb's courageous battle with cancer. Herb's ashes will be buried during a private family gathering in Vancouver, Washington. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
