All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lutz, Hermann Hermann Lutz left this earth to reunite with our Father in Heaven on January 5, 2003. Hermann was born an only child on April 4, 1925 in the town of Gablons, Czech. He was captured by the British in 1942 and was a POW until 1948. In 1948 he was released to West Germany where he worked in the coal mines, for the IP, in a chemical factory and as a bomb diffuser in order to survive in a war torn country. On June 28, 1964 Hermann brought his wife and three little girls across an ocean in order to create a better life for his family. Once in the U.S. he took on three jobs in order to provide for the basic needs of his family, often times walking because he had no automobile. He retired from the city of OKC where he worked as an electrician in November of 1977 after 20 years of service. In 1978 he opened the first of two very successful German restaurants where he raised a legacy. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hermann and Wilhelmiene Lutz. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothea Lutz of the home; daughter, Loretta and husband Michael Ault of Austin, TX; daughter, Brigitte and husband Wesley Squyres of Norman, OK; daughter, Claudia and husband James Roberts of Newalla, OK and four adoring grandchildren, Amanda Roberts of Midwest City, Michael Ault of Austin, TX, Jeffrey Ault of Austin, TX and Jordan Squyres of Norman, OK. We lovingly release you to our Father in Heaven, Opa and to the parents you have waited so long to see again. Your legacy of selfless love will be forever immortalized through the eyes of your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to come. We love you always our Dad - our Opa. Services will be held in honor of Hermann on Thursday, January 9, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at 1221 84th Ave NE, Norman, OK 73026.
