Hester Littleton

PORTALES - Hester Littleton, 87, a former Perryton, Texas, resident, died 
Saturday, May 10, 1997.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Ochiltree County 
Cemetery at Perryton. Arrangements are by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales, 
Inc.

Mrs. Littleton was born in Oklahoma City. Her family moved when she was a 
girl to the Oklahoma Panhandle and settled just a few miles from Perryton.

She married Onas G. "Shorty'' Littleton in 1930 at Perryton. He died in 
1981.

Mrs. Littleton began her career at the Perryton National Bank as a 
bookkeeper and worked up to assistant cashier before her retirement in 
1984.

She had been a member of Jefferson Street Church of Christ in Perryton. 
After moving to Portales in 1984 to be near her daughter, she joined Third 
and Kilgore Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Richard Glenn Littleton of Island Falls, Maine; a 
daughter, Shirley Gail Ferguson of Portales; six grandchildren; and five 
great-grandchildren.
