He was retired from the construction industry and was a veteran of the US Army Airborne Unit. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy Bob Lance. He is survived by his wife, Whaneta Lance; a daughter and son in-law, Kimberly Ann and Mike Bishop; a son, Kevin Lee Lance; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Jim Beasley and Janie and Dennis Warner; one grandson, Brent Bishop, one granddaughter, Suzie Metsch and husband David; and one great grandson, Dylan Metsch. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the Rosewood Chapel of Branstetter-Merritt Funeral Home.
