All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Langford, Sharon Marie "Shari" Sharon "Shari" Marie, 49, was born to Leo and Leota Mix in Sidney, Nebraska on November 17, 1953. She died at her home on January 2, 2003 after a courageous battle with leukemia. She graduated from Putnam City West High School in 1972. Shari sang in "Up With People" and a gospel group where she met the love of her life Earl Langford. He married his loving wife of 30 years on June 10, 1972. Shari was an avid collector of angels and Noah's Ark. Her spirit showed gentleness and kindness to others and animals. As a Veterinary Technician she managed several animal clinics taking care of large and small animals, except frogs. Shari was a reservationist for Hertz Local Edition since 1998. Shari is survived by her parents, her husband, Earl Langford, son John and daughter Ashley, brothers John and James Mix and sister Susan Lake. As her "kids biggest fan" Shari supported Ashley and friends in Dance Innovations as seamstress & "Mom". She traveled across the nation to attend military functions for her son John and nephew Jason as "Army Mom". Celebrations and holidays were at Shari's house as she took care of her parents, family and friends. Everyone laughed at Shari's wit and charm. Even in her courageous battle with cancer everyone was amazed by her witty quips. Services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 1:00 P. M. at Chapel Hill funeral home with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 3613 NW 56th Street, Suite 230, OKC 73112 or Mercy at Home Hospice, 13301 N. Meridian, Bldg. 200, OKC 73120. Shari was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and friend, she will be greatly missed.
