Landis LIBERAL, Kan. - Dr. L.K. Landis, 54, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, in Wichita. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Prater and the Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery by Kitch-Brenneman Funeral Home. Mr. Landis was born Sept. 13, 1948, in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Truman and Mary Louise Herrin Landis. On June 7, 1969, he married Sandy Bolton at Oklahoma City. He had been a Liberal resident for 27 years. He was an ordained minister, having served in the Xenia Baptist Church in Xenia, Bible Baptist Church in Neodesha and had served the Fellowship Baptist Church in Liberal since May 1975. He was an avid antique car collector and old car buff. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Kent Landis of Bentonville, Ark.; a daughter, Lorraine Kathlyn Landis of Liberal; his mother of Amarillo; a brother, Don Landis of Longview, Texas; three sisters, Betty Cummings of Dallas, Linda Flowers of Amarillo and Denise Clapp of Morrisville, Pa.; and seven grandchildren, Tucker Kent Landis, Taylor Landis, Tanner Landis, Bailey Landis, T.J. Prater, Tyler Prater and Tiffany Prater. The family suggests memorials be to Fellowship Baptist School in care of Kitch-Brenneman Funeral, 1212 W. Second St., Liberal, KS 67901. The body will be available for viewing from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
