All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Llano Cemetery--Amarillo TX Amarillo Globe News 14 Dec 1998 Dorothy Bell Kiefer Lindsley Dorothy Bell Kiefer Lindsley, 73, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. Howard Batson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mrs. Lindsley was born in Fort Cobb, Okla., and had been a resident of Elk City, Okla., before moving to Amarillo in 1960. She was a secretary at Great Southern Life Insurance Co. for more than 15 years, retiring in 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She married Bobby Ray Lindsley in 1948 at Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960 and a son, Robert E. Lindsley, in 1989. Survivors include a son, Michael S. Lindsley of Amarillo; her mother, Doris Kiefer of Anadarko, Okla.; a sister, Donis Adkins of Amarillo; three brothers, Freal Kiefer of Apache, Okla., Forrest Kiefer of Fort Cobb and Robert Kiefer of Anadarko; and a grandson. The body will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
