Joe H. Landers

WESTWAY - Joe H. Landers, 98, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Rose Chapel of Gililland-Watson 
Funeral Home at Hereford with the Rev. James Peach of First Baptist Church 
in Vega officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery at Hereford.

Mr. Landers was born in Choctaw, Okla. He married Lola May Gunn in 1920 at 
Schoolton, Okla. She preceded him in death in 1993. He moved to Deaf Smith 
County in 1925 from Schoolton. He lived in Westway Community and was a 
member of Westway Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Ross Landers of El Paso; a daughter, Vesta Mae 
Nunley of Hereford; six grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; and six 
great-great-grandchildren.

The family requests that memorials be to King's Manor - Westgate Nursing 
Home.
