Lowry, 90, of Oklahoma City, died Saturday morning, August 17, 2002 at Grace Living Center in Edmond. He was born May 31, 1912 in Weatherford, Oklahoma and moved to Oklahoma City with his family at a young age. He attended business college after high school and worked as an accountant/auditor. He served in the South Pacific during World War II. He was a founding and lifelong member of Mayfair Church of Christ where he led the singing for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Hazel A. Lowry; two children, Greg, of Austin, TX and Christina Shahan of Port Arthur, TX; two grandsons, Travis and Stephen Shahan; and his sisters Lois Lowry and Ruth Winters. Services are directed by Hahn- Cook/Street & Draper and will be held at Mayfair Church of Christ at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Grace Living Center and Good Shepherd Hospice for the loving care he received during the last several months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
