All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rose Hill Burial Park--OKC OK Leslie, Norma Hester Fitts Norma Hester Fitts, passed away on November 20, 2002, after a brief illness. She was born on February 10, 1914, in Waco, TX, one of two children to Geraldine Searcy and Leon Edgar Fitts. Her family moved to Tulsa, OK where Norma was raised. Norma was particularly proud that her father discovered the Fitts Field in Pontotoc County south of Ada, OK. Norma met her husband of 62 years, Edward P. Leslie, Jr., when they both worked in the Colcord Building. They married in 1940. The only time they were separated during this time was during Ed's service to his country in the US Air Force during World War II and again during the Korean War. Ed was Norma's life. Her parents and brother preceded Norma in death. Her husband, Ed, passed away on February 5, 2002. Norma is survived by her sister-in-law, Alice Leslie Park and her husband, Lee, of Midland, TX, nieces Susan Eiteljorg and her husband, Jack, of Santa Fe, NM, Leslie Jane Park, Arcadia, CA, JoAnn Allison, Media, PA, Carolyn Fanshier and her husband, Allen, Victoria, TX, Mary Jane Carlisle and her husband, Chuck, Alice, TX, nephews Mike Allison and his wife, Kay, Charlie Allison and his wife, Lisa, and Robert Allison, all of Bacy City, TX. Viewing and visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2002, at Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors, 14624 N. May Ave. Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 23, 2002 in the chapel at Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oklahoma City Rotary Club Foundation, 120 N. Robinson, Suite 1909, Oklahoma City, OK 73102 or the Salvation Army Fund at the Oklahoma City Community Foundation, 1300 N. Broadway Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73103.
