She was born September 4, 1940, in Putnam, OK, to Alvin and Mattie (Widner) Brown. Connie was a devoted Sunday School teacher and a member of the Joy Class at Country Estates Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family. Mrs. McCoy was a former longtime resident of the Clinton, Oklahoma area. She is survived by: two sons: David McCoy and wife Patricia of Hockley, TX, and Dan McCoy and wife Angie of MWC, OK; one daughter: Cathy Mathes and husband Steve of OKC, OK; her mother: Mattie Brown of Clinton, OK; 7 grandchildren: Kristen, Stephen, Bobby, Wesley, Molly, Garret, and Riley; two brothers: L.D. Brown of Macomb, OK, and Alvin Brown and wife Ann of Noble, OK; one sister: Eva Cook and husband George of Houston, TX; and many other nieces, nephews, and additional family members. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Arnold McCoy; her father, Alvin Brown; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Brown. A memorial fund has been established at Country Estates Baptist Church for the stained glass fund. Services will be 10:00 am, Sat., August 17, 2002, at Country Estates Baptist Church, with burial at Arlington Memory Gardens.
