All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.html ========================================================================== Fort Worth Star-Telegram 25 Aug 2005 Richard Eugene Mayhugh 1932 - 2005 Richard Eugene Mayhugh, 73, a retired SCS/NRCS employee, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at an Arlington hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Road Chapel, 4216 S. Bowen Road. Burial: Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, Okla. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home-Bowen Road Chapel. Mr. Mayhugh was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., to Ruth Margery Mayhugh and Richard Emmitt Mayhugh. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1954, returning to his studies to receive a master's in soils science from Oklahoma State University in the mid-1980s. He married his devoted wife, Violet LaFern "Fern" on June 4, 1955. This loving marriage lasted over 50 years. He was an active member of Church of God Seventh Day to which he remained faithful his entire life. He attended services regularly at Grand Prairie/Fort Worth and helped out with services in any capacity. Mr. Mayhugh was an avid gardener, sharing his handiwork with whomever he met. Survivors: His devoted wife of 50 years, Violet LaFern "Fern" Mayhugh; his children, Everett and Anna Mayhugh of Shawnee, Okla., Ruth and Ken Raichle of Tulsa, Okla., David and Peggy Mayhugh of McKinney, Michael and Lisa Mayhugh of Dallas, Tim and Misty Mayhugh of Arlington; his 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, G.
