She passed away April 27, 2006 in New Mexico at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 20 days. Bitsy lived in the Sweetwater community in the late 1940's and 1950's. She later lived in Oklahoma City before moving to Fairview, NM to make her home. She was preceded in deah by her parents and a brother, Leon Yell. Survivors include six children, Sherry Maestas & husband, Edward of Fairview, NM, Debbie Foster, Chicago, IL, Bobby Reeves wife, Lisa, Friendwood, TX, Lonnie Joe Martin, Lake Havasu, AZ, Jimmy Hendersson, Hammon, OK, and Donald Leach & wife, Brandi of Hammon, OK; eight grandchildren, Latisha Odell & husband Tom, Kerri Marick, Tanner and Kimberee Leach, Robeert and Ryan Reevess, Shane Filsing and Misa Ferguson, two great grandchildren, Dylan Anderson and Thomas Odell; one brother, William "Buck" Yell, Jr. wife, Opal, Farwell, TX and Joe Yell, Shamrock, TX; and one sister, Judy Foster, Locus Grove, OK; special friend, Ida E. Maestas and Frances Espinosa, both of Fairview, NM; and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Ray Smart at the Brookside Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
