McKee, born April 12, 1920, went home to be with her personal Lord and Savior January 27, 2003, in Oklahoma City. Vida was born to Oliver T. and Ella Mae Cartmill and was a life-long resident of Edmond, graduating from Edmond High School and Central State College. She was married to the love of her life, F. Merle McKee, for 56 years and worked along side him in their homebuilding business. Vida enjoyed traveling to all 50 states with Merle and her friends. She belonged to several bridge clubs and was Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. An active member of Seward Road Baptist Church, pastored by Rev. Rex Haymaker, she enjoyed fellowship with her Lord, family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Anita & David Roach and Judy & Gary Swanson; her grandchildren, Angela & Jim Flynn, Sarah & Nathan Carr, Katelyn, Jesse, Jake & Jenna Swanson, and one great grandson, James Flynn II, all of Edmond. Vida was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her husband. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 30, at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 S. Broadway, Edmond, with interment at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
