All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Daily Oklahoman 2 Aug 2002 McDaniel, Harold (Mac) Harold (Mac) McDaniel, 87, passed away July 31, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born in Jewell, Kansas on July 6, 1915 to Fred & Mabel McDaniel. He moved to Oklahoma City after growing up on a farm in Kansas. He married and raised a family that he loved very much. Mac was a wonderful baseball coach and an avid golfer, and he was very active in his church. The heart of his career was with the Teamsters Union, where he served for several years as Secretary-Treasurer of Local 886 in Oklahoma City. He helped others all his life-even in his 80's he was delivering meals on wheels for the church. He was preceded in death by Dorothy Hillmer, his former wife. Survivors include his wife, Alma McDaniel; sons, Roger McDaniel, Jerry Reed, Gil Reed, Terry Reed, David Reed; daughters, Gail McDaniel, Lynn Warlick; grandchildren, Michael Loeb, Katie Loeb, Morgan McDaniel, Madeline McDaniel; 19 step- grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2002 at 10:00 A.M. at Putnam City Christian Church, 4215 N. Grove, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 8701 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be sent to Harold McDaniel Memorial Fund at Putnam City Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Funeral Home.
