All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== McCloy, Robert Burt Robert Burt McCloy, 88, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, September 17, 2002 in Norman, Oklahoma. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, September 20, 2002 at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman, Oklahoma with The Reverend Canon David A. Egbert officiating. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Mr. McCloy was born September 23, 1913 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Edward and Davina Burt McCloy. He grew up in Pittsburgh where he graduated from high school. He attended the University of Pittsburgh and then graduated from Carnegie Tech. in Pittsburgh with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He lived in Catoosa and Tulsa, Oklahoma where he worked for Gulf Oil and Standard of Indiana prior to moving to Oklahoma City. Once in Oklahoma City, he worked for Decem and Big X Drilling Company. He was a lifetime member of the board of directors of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and was a founding member of the Petroleum Club in Oklahoma City, where he served as the club's second president. Mr. McCloy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Evelyn in 1997; and two brothers, Howard and Ed. Survivors include two sons, Robert B. McCloy Jr. and wife, Curtice, of Norman, OK and Stephen Paul McCloy and wife, Ming, of Oklahoma City, OK; two grandchildren, Allison Lafferty and husband, Todd, of Amarillo, TX and Laura Young and husband, Jason, of Oklahoma City, OK; four great grandchildren, Brennan Thomas Lafferty, Jackson Robert Lafferty, Austin James Young and Alaina Nicole Young; and his dear friend, Marjorie Jackson of Norman, Oklahoma.
