Caroline passed peacefully into this new life from her home after spending the last year and a half in slowly declining health. Caroline was born in Oklahoma City in 1905, two years before Oklahoma was a state. She has been a leader in championing the growth of OKC from early in her life. A long time member of the Sorosis Club, serving as an officer in many of the departments, Caroline spent a number of years in literary pursuit. She continued her writing and became a reporter for the Bethany Tribune, covering many of the city council meetings and various human interest stories for everyone's enjoyment. She continued her expressions of her way of life up to the day she died. Caroline was born to James Bennett and Mary Frances (Talkington) Hall. Her parents, her brother Clyde and her sister, Ruth Dixon, preceded her in death. Caroline married John Clifford Burkhart, a widower with four daughters ranging in age from 11 years to 15 years. In 1926, she finished raising the girls, Helen Deardorf of Denver, Eleanora Walton of California, Margaret Reeves of Denver and Barbara Bryant of Dallas, although she was only five years older than the oldest daughter. She remained an active participant in their lives until the day she died. Cliff and Caroline added two siblings to this union, Robert H. Koger and Patricia Koger Farrow. After Clifford's death in 1943 Caroline married Ray Allen Koger, who, with his son, James Irwin Koger, completed this extended family. After Ray's death Caroline married George Vance McClintic to complete her life. Caroline was also preceded in death by two of her daughters, Helen Deardorf and Margaret Reeves both of Denver. Surviving members of this loving family are Eleanora Walton and her three sons, Kent, Timothy and Daniel of California, Barbara Bryant, her husband Bob, and her children Lynn Ann and Tom Duggan and their three children, Douglas and his two daughters and Chuck and his wife Gloria of Dallas.
