Jewel was born in Sand Springs, Al to James and Mary Lou Ellen Maxwell. She returned to the OKC area from California 8 years ago. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, 3 sons and 3 daughters. Survivors include three sons and their wives; Eugene & Karen Johnson, Curtis & Carlene Johnson, William and Sally Johnson all of OKC, daughters; Opal Rae of OKC and Gertie Campbell of CA. One brother Orville Maxwell of CA and sisters Gladys Yager of CA and Cybil Shipman of Altus, OK. And numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was loved deeply by her family and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday, January 25, 2003 at the Hunter Funeral Home of Capitol Hill Chapel with interment in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, OK.
