Musgrove , age 74, passed away Thurs., Aug., 25, 2005 in OKC., OK. He was born Dec., 13, 1930 to Aaron and Elva Musgrove in OKC. Mr. Musgrove grew up on a dairy farm near Reno and MacArthur. He went to Riverdale school until 8th grade and then he attended Putnam City schools and graduated high school in 1949. A.J. married Marvene Wycoff on Dec. 29, 1950. He then worked as a truck mechanic with White Motor Company for a short time. In 1952 he went to work for American Airlines for approximately 10 years, which is where he began his long career in the travel industry. During this time he went to college and worked nights to complete and receive his Bachelors Degree in business from OCU in 1961. A.J. took a position as a sales representative with Lufthansa German Airlines in 1962. It was during this time he met his mentor, Harry Kornbaum with Rainbow Travel and went to work for Mr. Kornbaum and his wife, Donna Kornbaum. Marvene joined the agency soon after. In 1979, A.J. and Marvene purchased Rainbow Travel and continued in the business traveling to many of the world's destinations with many dear friends and customers. He retired from the agency in 2003 due to bad health. A.J. and Marvene joined St. Lukes Methodist Church and the Wedding Ring class shortly after his graduation from OCU. He was preceded in death by half brother, Carman Kelly; his parents and a daughter, Diana Ruth. Survivors include his wife Marvene of the home; son, Jay Musgrove and wife Sharon of OKC; granddaughter, Lauren Bond, sister-in-law, Ellen Weaver and her children, Carrie, Monty, Keith and wife Janet and their children. Donations may be made to the St. Lukes Foundation or the American Cancer Society. Interment will be 9:30 A.M., Mon., Aug., 29, 2005 at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Mon., Aug., 29, 2005 at St. Lukes Methodist Church in OKC.,OK. Arrangements under the direction of Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, OK.
