Bettye Mitchell

Bettye Mitchell, 77, of Midwest City and previously Purcell died Tuesday, 
May 6, in Midwest City. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the 
Yoakum-Damet Memory Chapel in Purcell with Steve Perdue officiating. 
Yoakum-Damet Funeral Home of Purcell is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Mitchell was born June 10, 1925, in Washington, to Bill and Mattie 
Kerr. She married Fred R. Mitchell at Lexington on Dec. 10, 1949. She was 
a member of Country Estates Baptist Church.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by sons, Fred R. Mitchell and his wife, Beverly, 
of Montgomery, Texas, Gary Mitchell of Oklahoma City, Bill Mitchell and 
his wife, Beatriz, of Oklahoma City and Chip Mitchell of Midwest City; 
daughter, Indy Edwards of Phoenix; sisters, Wanda Marrs and Frances 
Armstrong; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
