All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::?--Burkburnett TX Mills, Willard Brooks Willard Brooks Mills, 77, died Tuesday, February 18, following a long illness of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare disease which hits one in five hundred thousand persons. He was surrounded with love by his family at the time of death. Willard received his Mechanical Engineering degree from Michigan State University. He served with the United States Geological Survey for 30 years as a hydraulic engineer. He and his late wife, Peggye, served in Saudia Arabia five of those years. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggye, father and mother, Morgan and Maud Mills, three brothers, Montreal (Red), Wayne, and Alfred. He is survived by his wife, Eula Mae; children, Tam Campbell and husband John, Blain Mills and wife Linda, David Mills and wife Melody; step-children, Flora Bosman and husband Larry, Jim Stewart and wife Linda; grandchildren, Michael Campbell and wife Terrie, Stephanie Campbell, Brianna Williams, Jason Mills and wife Kim, Bree Mills, Kelly Mills, Casey Mills and wife Shayna; step- grandchildren, Stephanie Stewart and Gregory Stewart; great-grandchildren, Dustin Campbell, Nathan Campbell, and Ashlyn Mills, and many nieces and nephews. Willard took an active part in his church, 1st Baptist in Oklahoma City before becoming ill. He had served as Chairman of Deacons, taught a Bible class for 5th grade boys, and served on several committees. He also volunteered his time in his church and community by helping to serve food in the kitchen, library work, and Presbyterian Hospital Auxiliary. He was also a member of Sundowners at the State Fair. Willard Mills was a family man, very devoted and caring of his wife and kids throughout the years. He was a man of strong character and faith, a good provider, and a friend to all. His love of laughter was a blessing to all who knew him. In the last couple of years the caregiver become one who was cared for. The servant became one who was served. The provider become provided for. Now that he's gone Home to be with the Lord, his legacy of faith will live on. Special thanks to the staff of Oklahoma City Hospice. Visitation and viewing is 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friday, February 21. Services will be 10:00 am. Saturday, February 22, at First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, 1201 N. Robinson. Graveside services will be in Burkburnett, Texas. GUARDIAN NORTH 11600 N.
