All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Malear, Ethel Mae Rowlett "Honey" Ethel Mae "Honey" Rowlett, age 83 of OKC, passed away December 2, 2002 at a local hospital. She was an only child born to Homer Allen and Ola Mae Perkins Rowlett, in OKC on April 21, 1919. She attended Lee Elementary, Capitol Hill Jr. and Sr. High School and Hills Business College. Honey retired in 1982 after 27 1/2 years from DEMCO, she also worked with Bill Mosiers for 5 years and was secretary to Mr. Jim Lookabaugh, a friend and teacher. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi., Desk & Derrick, Capitol Hill Alumni Assoc. and President of CH Alumni Classes of the 20's and 30's She was a member from Cradle Roll to Adulthood at Capitol Hill Baptist Church and was a current member of South Hills Baptist Church, where she was president of the Rebecca Class. She volunteered at Hillcrest and Shields Heights Elementary Schools, as well as Reding Senior and Hillcrest Senior Centers, where she worked in the offices of both and taught knitting classes. She is survived by daughter, Barbara Wooley and husband, Darrell, son, Ronald James Malear, 5 grandchildren, Teri Wooley, Greg Wooley, Toni Jackson and husband, Chris, April Malear and Ashleigh Malear and 3 great grandchildren, Dylan, Ty and Kennedy Jackson all of OKC. She thoroughly enjoyed keeping Dylan and Ty until they were old enough to go to school, one of the greatest pleasures of her later years. She was lovingly known to all her children and most of her friends as "Honey". She loved her family and was very devoted to them. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wed., December 4, 2002 at the Southern Hill Baptist Church with burial following at Rose Hill Burial Park.
