All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Minor, Albert Virgle Albert Virgle Minor, 83, died Thursday, July 25, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center in Durango, Colorado of natural causes. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, August 1, 2002 at 8:30 AM. at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Bayfield, Colorado. Father Eddy Andary will be officiating. Cremation will occur at Hood Mortuary Crematory in Durango. Interment of cremains will occur at Pine River Cemetery in Bayfield. Mr. Minor was born April 27, 1919 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of James and Ann Minor. He married Rosemary A. Geirk on October 12, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City and also went to Oklahoma University in Norman, Oklahoma for one year. For 18 months he was an airplane mechanic for Pan American Airlines in Africa and he also served in the U.S. Air Force (Private First Class) from 1943 to 1945. Mr. Minor spent most of his life outdoors in road construction, in California and Hawaii. He located to Bayfield, Colorado in 1998 to be near his daughter and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Rosemary of Bayfield, Colorado two daughters; Rosemary Reese of Bayfield, Colorado and Gerry Rickert of Silverado, California, one brother and two sisters; Gerald Minor, Ella Mae Cusack and Genevieve Leeskant, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Building Fund at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, 1749 County Road 526, Bayfield, Colorado, 81122.
