He was born on August 28, 1923 in Wynona, Oklahoma to Edward Thomas and Alta Mae (Davis) Moore. He married Mona Marie (McLain) Moore August 5, 1949. Hal graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1951. He worked for Continental Oil Company and retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He proudly served our country in the Marine Corps during WWII and was a life member of the Marine Corps League. He had many accomplishments among which was a bronze medal for wrestling in the 1948 London Olympics. Hal generously dedicated over twenty years to the boy scouts leading Troop 18 through many adventures and educational journeys. He was a longtime member and Deacon at Crestwood Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty- three years, Mona of the home; brothers, James, Winfred and John; sister, Xerlan Delight; his children, David, Pamela Bahan, Steven and wife Nettie, Richard and wife Debbie, Timothy and wife Tammy, Jonathan, Barry, Gregory and wife Tina, Kip and wife Shelva; as well as nineteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2003 at Crestwood Baptist Church with interment to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
