Obit for Mary Helen Morford

Mary Helen Morford

Mary Helen Morford, 69, of Amarillo died Saturday, June 29, 2002.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, Bell
Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with Mr. Don Hornsby officiating. Burial will be
at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Giddings Cemetery of Giddings.

Mrs. Morford was born May 2, 1933, in Cunningham. A homemaker, she had
a flair for interior decorating. She was a loving mother and grandmother who
cared for her family very much. She married Brady Earl Morford on Nov. 29,
1958, in Amarillo. She came to Amarillo in 1999 from Giddings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Earl Morford, in July 1998.

Survivors include a son, Robert Kennedy and wife, Celeste, of Amarillo; a
daughter, Helen Willingham and husband, Don, of Giddings; five brothers,
Marvin L. Swindell and William H. Swindell, both of Amarillo, Carl M.
Swindell of Lewisville, James D. Swindell of Midwest City, Okla., and D.L.
Swindell of Dallas; a sister, Charlene Thore of Sherman; four grandchildren,
Tammy Peavey and husband, Paul, of Amarillo, Michael Kennedy and wife,
Kristine, of Graham, Wash., and Lisa Willingham and Sarah Willingham, both
of Giddings; and four great-grandchildren, Brandon Kennedy, Amber
Kennedy, Kyle Kennedy and Jonathon Peavey, all of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be to Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer
Research Center of Amarillo.
