She was born in Duke, Oklahoma on March 2, 1916 to Chester Arthur Peters, Sr. and Gertrude Peters. She was baptized at the age of 12 in the First Christian Church, Sayre, OK. In 1935, she graduated from Sayre High School, She married Warren L. Morris August 9, 1949 in Clinton, OK. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 42 years of service with the Division Traffic Office in OKC. After she retired, Dorothy and Warren loved to travel and were ardent OU football fans. She loved her family and spent as much time as possible with them. She was preceded in death by her parents and great-nephew Aaron Matthews. She is survived by her husband Warren Morris, Bellevue Nursing Home, OKC; brother, C.A. Peters and wife Bettie, Altus, OK; nephews, Tom Arthur Peters and wife Rebecca, Altus, David Lynn Peters and wife Kathy, Gulf Shores, AL, Jerry Peters and wife Donna, Guthrie, OK, Larry Morris and wife Margaret, Norman, OK; great-nephews Brett Peters, OKC, Silas Peters, Tuscaloosa, AL, Justin Kerr, Altus, OK; great- nieces Adrienne Peters, Dallas, TX, Chloe Kerr, Altus, OK; brother- in-law Ray Morris, Houston, TX; sister-in-law Dr. Ailene Morris, Pensacola, FL as well as several cousins. She had many friends while working for Southwestern Bell among them Wilma Harrison, Ponca City, Imogene Evans, Norman, OK and Johnnie Salmon, Altus, OK. Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Friday, February 21, 2003 at the Hahn- Cook/Street & Draper Chapel with Mark Morey officiating and interment following in Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church Memorial Fund (D.C.), Altus, OK.
