Harold M., 85, formerly of OKC, died 28 Nov. at home in Albuquerque, NM, of Alzheimer's disease. Born to Maurice G. and Anna Lee Morgan at Milburn, OK, 20 Sept. 1917, reared in OKC, he was graduated from Classen High School in 1935, president of his senior class. Studies in Law at OU were interrupted by induction into federal service with Service Company, 120th Medical Regiment, OK National Guard, in Oct., 1940. Commissioned in 1942, he and Iverna Phelps, also of OKC, were married in Alexandria, VA, 2 June 1942. With Army Air Corps in North Africa, he was discharged a Major at the end of WWII, returning to OU to receive an LLB in 1947 and later a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Employed by Kerr McGee Oil Co in OKC until he joined Ranchers Exploration and Development Corp in Albuquerque, later entering private practice. Pre-deceased by parents and sister, Naomi; survived by his wife, Iverna, of the home; daughter Connie and husband, Dr. Vernon Matzen, Raleigh, NC; sons, Harold Jr and wife, Susan Bennett, Albuquerque, and Thomas P. and wife, Alison, Denver, CO; five grandchildren; also sister, Virginia N. Carter, and brother, Kenneth H. Morgan, and spouses, all of OKC. Services Monday, 10 AM, at French Mortuary, Albuquerque, followed by interment at National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials in his honor to Ballut Abyad Shrine Transportation Fund, 6600 Zuni Rd, SE, Albuquerque, 87108.
