All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Marquiss, Robert Cunningham "Bob" Robert 'Bob' Cunningham Marquiss departed this world on December 13, 2002. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Bob was born March 16, 1925, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was the only child of Louis Arthur Marquiss and Lucile Kayser. He attended Gatewood Elementary, Taft Junior High and Classen High School in Oklahoma City. Bob enlisted in the US Army Air Corps and was called to active duty on April 16, 1943. He served as a meteorologist and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on February 24, 1946. He attended the University of Oklahoma from, 1946 to 1950, majoring in economics and finance. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. He was an owner of Oklahoma Record and Supply Co., a wholesale distributor of phonograph records, players, etc. for the state of Oklahoma and parts of Texas. On July 18th, 1952, he married Ina Lou Mackin of Ada, Oklahoma. He had two daughters: Michelle born in 1957 and Lorraine Lucile in 1958. He became a New York Stock Exchange registered stock broker in 1964. He was employed by A.G. Edwards and Sons and Stifel Nicolaus. Later, he became a licensed real estate broker and he and his wife, Ina Lou, were involved in the building and acquiring of homes, sales of homes and real estate appraisals under the name of Marquiss Realty Company. He is survived by his wife, Ina Lou of the home and his two daughters, Michelle Hickox and her husband Boyd, Lorraine Meyer and her husband Steve and two grandchildren, Matthew Meyer and Haley Meyer. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at the Hahn-Cook/ Street & Draper Chapel.
