Matherly Died May 21, 2003 surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer, Jack was born September 13,1926 in Oklahoma City. He is survived by his wife Sandra, daughter and son- in-law Carol and Larry Wilson, son Dale Matherly, daughter and son- in-law Linda and Keyton Kastner, sister Kay Haney, and a host of loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Sandra's children Jody and Duane, and many, many, friends. Jack founded Matherly Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in 1962 and was a successful, respected businessman in the community for many years. Jack was known by all to be very generous and caring man who donated countless hours to civic and charity causes. He was active in Rotary, and was instrumental in the development of the Mid-Del Group Homes, Inc. Jack was known to many to be a mentor, supporter, and had an amazing ability to instill confidence in others. Jack demonstrated his faith and love for God daily and was an active vital member of Faith Community Christian Church. Jack was a very active and energetic man, and had a love for fishing, golf, bicycling, and traveling. He had a deep appreciation for all of nature and taught his children to enjoy the simple things like the changing seasons with all their beauty. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mid-Del Group Homes, Inc. A celebration of Jack's life will be Friday, May 23, 11:00 a.m. at Faith Community Christian Church in Choctaw, Reno and Choctaw Rd.
