Married in 1929 to Francis Hamilton (deceased 3/ 29/67). Survived by daughter lone Hause of OKC, grandchildren Cindy West & husband Joe of OKC, Steve Phillips of Richardson, TX and Kathey Black of OKC; great-grandchildren Joe West, Jr. & wife Kim of West Point, NY, Barbara West of Norman, April Whitman & husband Mark of Norman, and Tyler Black of Ardmore; great- great grandchild Owen Whitman; sister Gladys Smith & husband Dewey of Wichita, KS; sister-in-law Valerie Harris of Wichita, KS. In 1972, she married George E. McDowell (deceased 6/ 30/99). Pearl joined First Christian Church 2/27/54. After her marriage to George, she joined St. Luke's United Methodist Church where George was an active member. Pearl was part of a small group representing the State Fair of Oklahoma that traveled all over the world contacting foreign countries, and encouraging them to come to OK, and participate at the International Bldg exhibits. She was very active in the Sundowners Club.Pearl loved to travel, and had been to most every country in the world. She loved to play bridge and to read. She was a long time member of Revidere Book Club, Red Bud Women's Club, the Thursday Bridge Club, Tower Sunday School class at St. Luke's, the Sundowners Club, and a Past Worthy Matron of Siloam Eastern Star Chapter #463, where she was a member for over 50 years. Private family graveside services will be held 10/1/05 at Rose Hill Burial Park. Services will be officiated by Jon Middendorf. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation or the Oklahoma Cancer Society.
