Maxine was born Sept.4, 1923, in Putnam City, Okla. She attended school through junior high in Oklahoma City and then went to high school and junior college in Wichita Falls, where she was named Miss Wichita Falls in 1941. Maxine and her husband of 59 years, Bill McReynolds, lived most of their lives in Fort Worth. She generously contributed to her community, serving on the boards of the Junior Woman's Club, Camp Fire Girls and PTA. Maxine was also a very active member of the Colonial Country Club Women's Golf Association from 1947 to 2002. She was a talented woman with unlimited creative passions: cooking, sewing, needlework, painting, motor home travel, interior decorating, landscape and gardening, brick work, golf, hosting parties, giving gifts, world-class shopping and a fabulous sense of fashion. Maxine was a small woman who made a huge impact. We will always be grateful for the big ways she loved us and made our lives so much better. In 2002, Maxine and Bill moved to Oakmont Gardens in Santa Rosa, Calif., where Bill still resides. They loved their new home, where Maxine's dynamic personality brought people together and lit up many lives. Her older daughter, Cynthia McReynolds, lives in Sebastopol, Calif; her younger daughter, Osha Breez, formerly known as Barbara McReynolds, lives on the Big Island of Hawaii.
