William Taylor 'W.T.' Minson Jr. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 5, 2004 after a brief but brave struggle with cancer. The Lord called him home to be reunited with his brother, parents, son & granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, with whom he share nearly 60 years of marriage; his daughters and son in laws, Donna & Joseph Rooffener of Eufaula, OK; Gina & William Herring of McLoud, OK; 5 grandchildren, Darron Rooffener, Kimberly Helsley, Jessica Sutherland, Haley Hughes & Grace Hughes; 5 great grandchildren; 4 brothers & 2 sisters & their spouses, & numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. He loved spending time with them all along with many cherished friends. He worked for LSB Inc. for over 50 years, inspired by Otto Hart, the founder. His honesty & self-taught knowledge built the service department & he was a well-known, valued consultant to many businesses throughout Oklahoma. His career afforded him the opportunity to indulge his love of scenery, travel & learning. He always said 'A day without learning is a day wasted.' Through his work he learned to converse Romanian & was instrumental in the defection of 1 family to Canada. W.T. & Wanda's home was a place of hospitality & joy. W.T. had a work ethic born of the Great Depression & Dust Bowl, evidenced by his many home projects & meticulous lawn. Pulling weeds & fishing were his relaxation. His humor & appreciation of the simple things in life endeared him to all who knew & loved him. The family is especially grateful to his doctors Samuel Wheeler & Khader Hussein & their caring staff as well as the staff of Hospice of Oklahoma County. Donations to hospice will be a fitting honor to W.T.'s memory. Funeral services will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2004 with interment immediately following in Resthaven's Memory Gardens.
