Herman E., Jr. passed away on November 7 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born on March 15, 1928 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman E. Sr. and Velma Moon and two brothers, Gene E. and Jerry E. Moon. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wanda Moon; four children, Bonnie Donahue, Sandra Moon, Lori Moon, and Jerry E. Moon; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Moon and Larry Moon; and several family and friends. He graduated from U.S. Grant High School in 1966. He served in the United States Armed Forces for six years. He retired in 1979 from Tinker Air Force Base after 29 years of hard work. To occupy his retirement he began working for Moon Electric in 1981 as an electrician until 1993. He was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church. Herman enjoyed life, his grandchildren, fishing, cooking, reading books, and nature. He was many things to many people and was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends of Herman from 6p.m. to 8p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the Resthaven Funeral Home in OKC. Burial will conclude in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of the Resthaven Funeral Home.
