(Jack) Russell L. (Jack) Morgan, of Oklahoma City, was born on July 4, 1915. He passed from this life on March 18, 2003, at age 87. He was the youngest son of Garner and Ella May Frances Morgan, also of Oklahoma City, OK. Russell graduated from Central High School and received a BA and Law Degree from the University of Oklahoma. He served in WWII from 1942 to 1946 in the 988 MP Co 8th Army Air Force European Theater. Russell continued his military service after the War as an officer in the Air Force Reserves retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1966. He practiced law in Oklahoma City for 62 years. In 1973, he started his own law firm Morgan and Morgan Inc., when his oldest son, Larry, entered the practice. Russell married Lois Margaret Gaffney in 1939. They were together for 61 years until her death in August of 2000. He is survived by son, Larry A. Morgan and wife, Christine of Oklahoma City, OK; and son, Gary L. Morgan and wife, Peggy of Plano, TX; as well as five grandchildren, Jon Morgan of Chicago, IL, Becky Morgan of Dallas, TX, Lara Morgan of Oklahoma City, OK, Katie Morgan of Plano, TX, Marci Morgan of Oklahoma City, OK; and his niece, Janice Waters of Duncan, OK. There will be a graveside service held on Saturday, March 22, 2:00 PM, Memorial Park Cemetery, Kelly & Memorial Rd. Matthews Funeral Home at 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK, will be coordinating the service. Please send flowers to Matthews Funeral Home and/or donation to Oklahoma Cancer Society in the name of Russell L. Morgan.
