All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--OKC OK Murrah Jr., Alfred Paul Alfred Paul Murrah, Jr. Born October 5th, 1933 to Judge Alfred Paul and Agnes (Milam) Murrah in Oklahoma City. Mr. Murrah passed away at home on September 29th, under the loving care of his wife, Florence. Paul was a prominent lawyer in Oklahoma City with Phillips, McFall McCaffrey, McVay & Murrah, P.C. Prior to this, he was a partner with Murrah Davis and Andrews, Davis, Legg, Bixler, Milsten, & Murrah. He is survived by his wife Florence, his two sons, Stan and David and wife Kay, his daughter, Marilynne Clark and husband Tom, and his three grandchildren, Monique, Leslie, and Vance, all from Houston, Texas. Paul is also survived by two sisters, Ann Shaw and Sue Wadley, and two nieces, Sierra McKee and Jenny Dolan, all of Oklahoma City. His extended family includes Bernie and Kennie Brockett of Oklahoma City and Florence's children, Jimmy Long and wife Kari and Denise Ramesh and husband Parvis, and seven grandchildren, also of Oklahoma City. Paul was a big supporter of Oklahoma City. He was in the first graduating class of Casady High School and graduated with honors in 1951. He attended Yale University, where he also graduated with honors in 1955. Afterwards, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps four years, and then he completed his education at Oklahoma University Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Oklahoma Law Review. In addition to enjoying his law practice, he also enjoyed teaching law at Oklahoma City University Law School. He served as a member of the Hatton W. Sumners Foundation, awarding law scholarships to worthy students. Paul also devoted time to the Youth Cornerstone Organization. And he was very proud to be an MVP volunteer at the Oklahoma City National Memorial, built on the site of a prominent city building named after Paul's father. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oklahoma City National Memorial, P.O. Box 323, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73102. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church, Saturday, October 1, 2005, with interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
