Gladys Marie Jones Nevins

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Gladys Marie "Tince'' Jones Nevins, 88, died Monday, 
May 19, 1997.

Memorial services were May 21 at the Atriums. Arrangements were by Roberts 
Brothers Funeral Home of Hooker, Okla.

Mrs. Nevins was raised and attended school in the Hooker area. She 
graduated from Hooker High School and attended Panhandle State College at 
Goodwell, Okla. She was a school teacher.

She married Roy L. Nevins in 1930. They lived in Culver City, Calif., 
Oklahoma City and Liberal, Kan. Her husband died in 1960.

She was a member of United Methodist Church of Hooker and First United 
Methodist Church at Liberal.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Rick Nevins of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a sister, 
Opal Shipps of Shawnee, Okla.; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and 
a great-greatgrandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to the Leukemia Society of America, 6811 
W. 63rd St., Suite 202, Shawnee Mission, Kan. 66202; or the InterAmerican 
National Collaboration c/o Helme Calfee, 849 E. Glouchester Place, 
Norcross, Ga. 30071.
