Nichols, Jr, 78 of Edmond, OK, passed quietly on September 12, 2002 after a brief stay in the hospital. Henry was born in 1923 and was raised in Westfield, New Jersey. He was a proud veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. and was a graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut and the University of Virginia Law School. During the war he married Anne Jordan and moved to Oklahoma in 1952. They raised four children, Barbara Green, Plano, TX; Bill Nichols, Edmond, OK; Leslie Kidd and Carolyn Lamiell also of Edmond. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne and later married Yvonne Cravens Nichols, who survives him. They raised three step children, Del Sparger, Tucson, AZ; Richard Sparger of Edmond, OK and Robin Noah also of Edmond. Together they have 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Wilday of Sun City, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry W. Nichols Sr., mother, Bertha Bell Nichols; sister, Anita Nichols Turner; and son-in-law, Mark M. Kidd. Henry was a senior partner in the law firm of Looney, Nichols, Johnson and Hayes. He served on the state worker's compensation task force and was chairman of the worker's compensation committee of the Okla. Bar Association and was recently honored by the Oklahoma County Bar for 50 years service. Henry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. We will miss him terribly and will keep his memory alive forever. Henry was a friend of Bill W. and now trudges the happy road of destiny. Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2002 at the First Christian Church, Edmond, OK. Baggerley Funeral Home 930 S.
